His upcoming Punjabi film is a romcom starring him and Lakhwinder Wadali in the lead. He candidly confesses that at this stage romcom is a safe bet for him, though he might experiment later. Vishal is also hosting a Punjab based reality show. "As an actor I've dabbled in everything and hosting was the only genre left. When I was approached for this show I jumped at the offer, plus it's a paid holiday for me!"
Vishal also does not shy away from presenting a favourable picture of reality shows. "I think it’s good fun depending on the kind of person you are because reality television can either make, or break you. Your true self comes out in front of so many people, which may work in your favour, or against it." Citing
Bigg Boss as one of the toughest reality shows, Vishal is all game if given an opportunity to participate again.
With no godfather or producer dad, Vishal blatantly points out that the stage of proving himself is not yet over for him. "It's been a beautiful experience so far. And I want to do more films but it's not that easy. I don't come from a filmy background and neither is my father a film producer. So, I really need to prove myself before people think that I'm worthy enough".
A trained pilot, Vishal also boasts of a stint in flying. "Hopefully, I'll become a superstar and fly around in a plane of my own," he wraps up laughing.
